About Nautilus Ventures
Founded in 2006 by Joe and Carol Toups, Nautilus Ventures, LTD began with a mission to restore and preserve the historic bungalows of the Houston Heights. Their collaborative efforts focused on revitalizing homes that reflected the architectural charm and character of the neighborhood. When certain properties proved beyond repair, Nautilus expanded into new construction—carefully designing homes that honored the historic aesthetic while meeting the needs of modern families.
In 2012, their son, Kirk Toups, transitioned from a career in corporate real estate portfolio management to join the family business, bringing strategic insight and operational expertise. Today, Carol and Kirk continue to lead Nautilus Ventures, carrying forward its legacy of thoughtful development and community stewardship.
